Question

new catalogue, all my presets missing

I still get very confused by Lightroom, I haven't used it for long so I am sorry.

I have created a new catalogue for a specific type of photos but none of my presets, metadata, copyright information, etc. is there.

Is this what happens when a new catalogue is opened or something is wrong?

I have gone into the general tab, presets and tried to find my "user presets" but I can not find them. I am getting a bit stressed out.

can anyone guide me?

thanks

If you have the older Library, select ONE image and use the Export as Catalog command. Go to the NEW catalog and use the Import as Catalog command. You can now delete that one image you imported if desired. All the older settings should transfer to new catalog.

Did you perhaps have ‘Store presets with this catalog’ checked for the old catalog? If so, then that is where they will be: inside your other catalog folder.
