Question

New computer very slow and catalog different

Last week I upgraded to a new powerful Dell computer i9 chip and windows 11. I've talked to Adobe support twice, but still have some questions. My cataloging system would be to put each shoot in the year the month and the date so if I looked at 2023, I'd see 15,000 pictures if I went to each of the month January would have a certain number as would February, etc. And when I open a month, all of my shoots would be by day some words describing them. Transferring to the new catalog each year has zero pictures each month as zero pictures but when I open any of the month days, all the number of pictures and the identifier. It looks like my  Collections all came over. They told me there's no way to reconnect the monthly and yearly totals. Inconvenient but not a disaster

The bigger issue is the computer is so slow. If I open a shoot, it can take 15 minutes for the 200 pictures to create  Thumbnails. And I have to do that with any group I go into. I know that it takes a while for everything to be populated. I synced into the cloud the 57000 photos over a day or two. I have a total of 288,000 photos in the Catalog . If I go to export a small JPEG it can take 30 seconds for the export window to open. Is there anything I can do in terms of settings to improve this performance. or is it simply going to take a month for everything to be hooked up between my photos in my raid and my  catalog. Thanks for any help you can give me
