HELP!

It is not even reading that I inserted a card to my card reader.

Do you stop trying the import when nothing happens when you insert the card? There is a Lightroom Classic preference that can be unchecked that will prevent LrC from opening when a card is inserted. Preferences -> General -> Import Options -> Show Import xxxxxx.

A common point of failure is a bad cable between the computer and the reader or a bad reader.
