Newly installed Lightroom does not see presets.
I have an issue with one copy of Photoshop Lightroom Classic (Version 8.3.1, Camera Raw 11.3) not seeing Presets.
First I had no issues with loading Presets into Photoshop Lightroom Classic and into Adobe Camera Raw on my desktop PC (Windows 10) computer. All went as expected. Presets that were loaded into the ImportedSettings System Folder (Users> Unsername> AppData> Roaming> Adobe> CameraRaw> ImportedSettings) and in the ProgramData> Adobe> CameraRaw> Settings> Adobe> Presets Folders were found and displayed in Lightroom Classic as expected. These presets were originally positioned into these folders by the automated Preset import function within this application (not manually placed there).
Also in the Lightroom Classic Develop Module, when I highlight (rightclick) the Cross (Plus sign) on the Presets banner of the Presets menu, the option to Create / Import / Manage presets is functional.
However when I load the same Presets in a version of the Photoshop Lightroom Classic (Version 8.3.1, Camera Raw 11.3) application installed on my Dell XPS15 laptop (windows 10) the presets are not found. The presets are physically located in the folders mentioned above, but this version of Lightroom Classic does not see them.
The Presets in the ImportedSettings System Folder (Users> Unsername> AppData> Roaming> Adobe> CameraRaw> ImportedSettings) do show up in the Adobe Camera RAW application associated with the installed Photoshop application suggesting that these presets are functional.
Also, in this application copy in the Lightroom Classic Develop Module, when I highlight (rightclick) the Cross (Plus sign) on the Presets banner of the Presets menu, the option to Create / Import / Manage presets NOT functional.
Note also that in the preferences file the “Store Presets with this catalog” in the Presets tab, is NOT checked.
I have uninstalled the Lightroom Classic application (completely), restarted the computer and reinstalled this application (twice), and I continue to get the same behavior as noted above.
What is the deal here ?
