what plugin should I use to tether my d750? My older Nikon tethered just fine with StudioTether but this one doesn't.  Any help would be appreciated.

You do not need a plugin (or other software) to tether the D750 with Lr Version 6. (as per Jim  in post#1)

I am successfully useing my D750 with Lr CC2015.9  (Windows-10 i7 laptop)

Noted-  After a loose usb cable connection, my camera took nearly 30 seconds to re-connect. (worrying)

When I replaced the camera battery one time the tether automatically re-connected. (great!  no worry)

If you need a long usb cable, buy the best you can, or get cable with a booster ("Active"). TetherPro USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Active Extension Cable (16ft/5m) – Tether Tools

Support for tethered shooting was added for the D750 in Lightroom 6. What version of Lightroom are you using?
