Nikon Z6III: Metadata not displayed correctly

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug, but I just noticed that if I take a picture using Highlight-weighted metering, the metadata-field in Lightroom Classic is empty.

If I take pictures using one of the other metering modes (Matrix metering, Center-weighted metering or Spot metering) the metadata is displayed correcty.

I am using a Nikon Z6III, Firmware 2.00 an Lightroom Classic 15.0, Camera Raw 18.0

The EXIF spec doesn't allow Highlight-Weighted metering to be recorded in the EXIF MeteringMode field:

So the camera is most likely recording "other" or omitting the field; in either case, that will show up in the Metadata panel as a blank value.

The camera may be storing the actual Nikon metering mode in the proprietary MakerNotes metadata section, which LR doesn't display. You could use the Metadata Viewer plugin to investigate that.

Thanky you for clarifiying, you are right, in the metadata it says "Other".  Nikons NX Studio displays it correctly though.
