No adjustment sliders for adjustment brush?!?! PLEASE HELP

Hi all! I am so frustrated because i just started using lightroom and for some reason when i go to the adjustment brush panel i dont have any sliders like exposure and contrast?!? all it has for me to adjust is the size, feather, and flow?!? UGH! please help!

There is a little grey triangle on the right hand side of the adjustment brush panel (near the top). Click on this triangle to expand the adjustment brush panel to show all the sliders.
