No destination folder for exported collection

I'm using Lightroom Classic 12.4 and macOS Ventura 13.4.1. Before, when I would export a collection to my desktop I would name a destination subfolder, the folder would be created as part of the export and the exported photos would be collected in it. Now the whole collection appears on the desktop as individual images, no folder. Whether or not I create an empty folder on the desktop to receive the photos the same thing happens.
