Clear description blocked and deleted b/c min of 250

I can always get all my editing done and finish exporting the full photoshoots successfully for all my photoshoots all year.

It’s just the horrendous and time-wasting bug of false-flag exclamation point errors popping up randomly on my photos and forcing 30 seconds of downtime to quit and relaunch, that is aggravating me to no end.

Surely someone else has encountered this.

It’s a stability issue with the database file, I think.

Anytime something gets unstable, it just tells the user (falsely) that something is wrong with their file.

It seems to be uncorrelated to the size of operations, but happens with equal random chance both on small and big operations.

Sometimes when I am pasting editing settings onto 200 photos it doesn’t happen.

Other times it does.

Sometimes when I am pasting settings onto 2 photos it doesn’t happen.

Yet other times it does.

Sometimes when I am exporting 6000 photos from a full day of shooting, it doesn’t happen.

Yet other it tells me some photos failed to export because of the issue happening randomly to them.

I just need to quit and relaunch, go to the failed group of photos, then export with previous, and they work fine.

And it happens to all shoots from all cameras from all memory cards stored on all drives. Only common factor I can think of is that it’s on Mac and is with the Classic version.

Can you put a test set of images onto another drive instead of the SSD that you mention? Maybe with a new test catalog as well?

Yes, I have already tried:

Using a totally different SSD.
Using hard drives.
deleting entire catalog and removing all photos from Lightroom, starting from scratch on original SSD as well as with options 1 and 2.
This has been a constant issue with all versions, all updates, and all workflows with Lightroom.

This has been happening all year long with all my editing. Can’t stand it anymore. Is there a fix?

It’s possible that the photos files are corrupted. That’s normally what the exclamiation point icon in a black circle means. Copying the corrupted files to a different disk will not help, and importing corrupted files into a new catalog will not help.

Please try restoring the photos from a recent backup. Best would be to move the originals to a different disk, not the disk you normally keep them on (they will still be corrupted), and then restore the photos from a recent backup to the location on the different disk.

The photos are not corrupted. Quitting and relaunching Lightroom always eliminates the ! symbol and editing continues like normal.
