No handover from lightroom classic to photoshop

I have recently updated to Lightroom Classic v 13.0.1 and Photoshop v 25.0.  I now cannot send images from Lightroom to Photoshop for editing.  Photoshop opens, but there is no image transfer.  I have tried restarting my computer - an iMac, but no sucess.

    This problem is usually solved by uninstalling Photoshop and Lightroom, and then reinstalling Photoshop first and Lightroom second. This order is vital.
