No HDMI sound with Slideshow

I connect my laptop to clients' TV through HDMI to show slideshow.  Music will not play through TV and only comes through my laptop.  All other laptop system sounds seem to come through the HDMI to the TV.  I can play the mp3's not in LR and they come through the TV.  Obviously something within LR but I can't work it out!!  Please help.

For anyone else who has this issue and comes across this post.  After chatting with customer support, my workaround was to install previous version 6 (2015) and use that just for the slidehsow viewing as the HDMI sound works with that version.

Another possible soloution was to export the slideshow and then show it that way.  However, I saw a huge decrease in image quality upon export and would not be happy showing that to clients (I did not play around with diffeent resolutions / sizes though so viewing quality could possibly be fixed/improved with that??).

I got it to work finally on my Macbook by plugging in the HDMI, changing my sound output in System Preferences to the HDMI port, and then opening Lightroom. If I had Lightroom open before the first two steps then it wouldn't work.
