No images displayed in import window

Hello,

I’m facing since a few days a strange behavior with Lightroom classic.

When inserting the card in my Mac, non images are displayed in the import window. Nevertheless, it’s possible to see them in the Finder (both jpeg & raw)

My current configuration is Mac Studio M2 Max, Tahoe 26.3.1 & LRC 15.3

Using the same card & card reader with my Wx computer & LRC 15.2 does not bring any issue. Images are present to be imported.

(I just tried to remove / install LRC on the Mac keeping the profile and it provides the same result)

Any idea  ?

Thanks

If the import dialog is set to ‘Copy’ at the top center, then make sure you have a destination selected in the right panel. Apparently Lightroom Classic does not show any images at all if it can’t copy them because no destination is defined.

Another thing to check is that Lightroom Classic has the necessary permissions. Go to MacOS 'System Settings - Security & Privacy' and add Lightroom Classic to "Full Disk Access" if it is not in there yet or not enabled. Sounds like your card reader or its cable might be causing this. Try a different cable.

    Hi Johan,

    thanks for the feedback.

I just checked and added “Full disk access” to LRC (it was not set).

Still the same behavior for the import dialog whatever the option selected (copy, move ...) and with an existing destination in the right panel.

In case, I restarted the Mac, but doesn't bring a solution.

One thing I can add is that when I plug-in the card, the import dialog does not open in LRC even if the card is read (option is set in Preferences )

Another check : same behavior with pictures on the internal hard disk. Change the permissions on one picture (777) on the drive but still the same 😳
