No people found

Hello, when I select the people view I get a "No people found" message when i select folders that actually have many faces in them.  I do have some faces recognized in some folders just not all of them. 

I have updated to the latest Lightroom classic V13.0.1 running on windows 11.   I set face detection to "Only scan faces as needed" but it doesn't appear to be doing any detection at all. 

I have already tried the following:

*  Removed  the  "C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom Classic CC 7 Preferences.agprefs" file but that did not change anything.

*  "Faces Detection" is not paused but also not showing any activity. 

*  "Find Faces Again" under  edit.  It is now greyed out but I am not seeing any activity.
