Hi,

i had an issue with classic. i took my compact flash out of my camera and put it into a card reader. i hit import and although LR could see the card reader (Nikon D3), it says "no photos". i then went into finder (i use mac) and manually copied them off my flash card onto my external hard drive. (my hard drive is connect directly to the port in back vs connecting the hard drive via hub). I then went back into Import, pointed to where the copied files were on my external hard drive and did an add. i also used the new feature the files loaded quickly without issue. i could also preview them very quickly. i have NO idea why it didn't work through the card reader. hoping anyone has a solution.  As an FYI - it worked perfectly fine before i updated to classic.

please help

(as a side note - once it did load, the previews were definitely a ton faster)

Hi steveshos,

You may try using another card reader or camera card and let us know if you face the same issue. You can format the camera card and add some clicks to it and check if you can import the images into Lightroom Classic CC.

Mohit
