No photos in filmstrip, despite photo sources selected (which have photos) - tied to viewfilter...

Sometimes I end up with no photos in the filmstrip, when I set a view filter which has no item selected (not sure how that happens). In other words the "All ('N' Values)" item is not selected, nor any others (on the column I just added or tweaked I mean), so the filmstrip is blank.

Anybody know how to handle so this problem does not happen? - thanks in advance.

My experience with setting view filters has been in situations where every filter column has one or more items selected, so I don't have any specific suggestions.

I've experienced some flaky behavior setting view fitlers, e.g. when setting a Date column in hierarchical mode to contain a mixture of years, months, and days -- the right filter gets applied and the right photos filtered and displayed, but the UI doesn't seem to display the column correctly.

Turns out I was setting selection to a metadata value which did not exist - duh.

Behavior in that case is just what I would hope for.
