No preview and cannot import CR2 files from 6D Mark II

Updated LR Classic CC
Using:

Lightroom version: CC 2015.8 [ 1099473 ]

License: Creative Cloud

Operating system: Windows 10

Version: 10.0

Running the most updated version according to Adobe.

Had no issues with T3i, now I cannot even preview CR2 files.  I can only view them in Bridge and then open in Camera RAW, so I know they are not corrupted.  I edit in LR however and prefer to keep it that way.  HUGE issue for me.
I do not want to convert to DNG file...why pay for LR if I can't just use it? Everything on the website says the camera is supported from what I have read.

Any ideas on what is wrong here?  I've Googled a lot and no solutions to be found.

For what it's worth, Windows stopped being able to read the files as well.  No clue why.  I can view old files taken with my T3i, but not the 6D.

Help!

Is it possible that you have both Classic CC and CC2015.8 installed, and you are inadvertently opening the older version?

Or another possibility....are you running a 32bit version of Win10? IIRC, system requirements for LR CC2015 changed to 64bit-only partway through the LR6/CC2015 cycle.

Now working and updated to 8.0 on both systems.

To solve I had to log out of Creative Cloud app, restart each computer and open Lightroom CC from the CC app.  It then asked me to update the Library and showed the correct version.

I was opening from the LR icon pinned to my taskbar and this may have not allowed me to fully update.  Had to open via the CC app.

Okay seems the PC is now working.  Logged out and restarted again and this time it asked to update my Library.  (just the Library, nothing else)

    It now shows this:

    Lightroom Classic version: 8.0 [ 1193777 ]

    License: Creative Cloud

    Language setting: en

Operating system: Windows 10 - Home Premium Edition

    Version: 10.0.17134

    Application architecture: x64

    System architecture: x64

I can now see the RAW files in preview.

So will try again on my laptop which is what I normally use.

I do appreciate all the suggestions and advice. Very frustrating to be doing all everyone is suggesting and it just not working! Hopefully another try on the laptop will work as well and then I will mark this as answered.

CC 2015.8 is an outdated version released in Feb 2017. Not sure why you're being told you're up to date when you are about 12 versions behind.

The 6D Mark II was first supported in 2015.12 (released July 2017) so you need to update to at least that version to open your Raw files.

    Cameras supported by Camera Raw

The current release is CC version 8.0 but it's not supported on Win 10 Builds 1511 or 1607.

Which build of Windows 10 are you running?

Where are you finding that 2015.8 is several versions behind?  I go to updates and that's it for me.  Via the Creative Cloud app or in Lightroom Classic CC.  It says it's up to date. Prior to updating to 2015.8 it said 2015.12 and that still did not read the RAW files.

Refresh the CC DTA. Click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and select Check for updates. If that doesn't give you version 8 then Sign Out of the CC DTA then restart your computer then Sign back in.
