No subject detected when using subject masking even tho subject clearly stands out from the photo

As the subject suggests, I have no success in masking subject in LrC. I tried this with many other photos I've taken before and results are all the same. 

However, when I tried opening the same photo in Photoshop, the subject can be selected properly. So now I wonder what could be the difference in setting between the two, if there's any.
