Question

No syncing issue after creating a new catalogue

I have moved my Lihtroom library to a new hard drive on my mac and created a new catalogue.

I used the previous catalogue option to copy the details.

However, this catalogue does not sync with Adobe Creative Cloud.

What have I done wrong?

All options to sync are disabled or missing.

Can you explain in more detail what you mean by?- "used the previous catalogue option to copy the details."

Normally when you use another catalog(ie. Not Synced), clicking on the Cloud icon takes you through this process to [start syncing], and it asks "Sync this catalog instead?"

Have you seen these dialogs?-

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Hi. I didn't get asked to sync anything when I imported the catalogue.

Would it be better for me to go back to my old catalogue, import the new one and then use Lightroom to move the location of the files to the new system?

Can you share your target? Why did you create a new catalog, and are trying to import the old one in to the new?

Why not simply move the old one forward and continue to use this, as it seems to be your main catalog?

LrC can only sync one catalog to the cloud, as Rob already stated. So, changing the catalog to sync will completely change what you see in the cloud, as only activated collections will be synced.
