'noisy' black patches on a photo when I export from LRC to Photoshop

Please see the screenshot attached. There are noisy black patches that I can't seem to figure out why this is happening. Does anybody know? I have a Mac (Ventura).

Did you start from raw or JPEG? You exported the image how (what settings)?

IMO- A combination of 'Noise' in the shadow areas, and JPG compression artifacts.

Well, someone else will have to analyze this. All I'm seeing is thread pattern and pants that are slightly out of focus. So I can't offer much help. Sorry.

It seems that my eyesight is failing me. The only black "patches" I can find in that photo are the ones in the pattern of the shirt. I'm not sure what you are referring to otherwise.

I've brightened it up so you can see the noisy parts...  Please see attached. It's where his hand falls and also her hip.
