Not recognizing files on external drive

I use an external drive for my LR files. When it started to show signs of failure I purchased two new OWC MiniSTX drives which I made into a Raid 1 using their SoftRaid program. I copied the 2.4 T of files to the new mini drives. I can get LR to recognize the new Raid 1 drive, however, not the files inside it. I tried various Google suggestions with no success. I cannot help but feel I am missing some simple step. Thanks for any help.
