On return from Topaz Photo AI no file selected but both Original and DRG appear in Film Strip

If I go to File:Plug-in Extras: Process in Topaz Photo AI it opens and processes the picture quite well.

On return to Develop from Topaz Photo AI the CR3 is shown for a second .. and the DRG shows for a second   .. and then the loupe screen is grey and "No file selected". However, both Original and DRG appear in Film Strip AND the DRG has the arrow requiring "Metadata needs to be updated".

Also, when returning from Topaz Photo AI to Library the DRG is shown beside the original ... but the DRG has the arrow requiring "Metadata needs to be updated".

Control S fixes the metadata file.

Windows 11, and all current updates done (LrC  12.2.1 and Topaz 1.2.8)

How do I get the DRG to automatically show in Develop and fix the Metadata issue, please

BTW I had the the Assertation Failure yesterday when returning from Topaz to LrC so I had to reset the My Pictures address to : %USERPROFILE%\Pictures to get ruid of that issue.
