Once a Photo from Mobile is Synced to Lightroom Classic, how do I Move it to a Local Directory?

Hello all

 

I Hope you are Well.

 

I have been using Lightroom Classic for a few Years now and have decided to try the Sync facility from my

Samsung Galaxy Phone to Lightroom Classic on my Desktop (Windows 11).

 

I take a Photo on the Phone which the Lightroom App Syncs to my Desktop (Lightroom Classic), all Good, so far.

 

Once the Photo appears in the 'All Synced Photographs' Collection how do I Move it to my Local Directory Structure?

 

I am at a Loss so any Help would be appreciated.

It already is in a local folder. 'All Synced Photographs' is a collection, not a folder. By default, Lightroom Classic stores downloaded images in a special folder called 'Mobile Downloads.lrdata'. That folder is located inside your catalog folder. In the Lightroom Classic folder panel it is shown differently, however. You will see a separate 'device' (like an external drive) with the name of the phone. If you don't like that and want the images to be downloaded into a normal folder structure, then you can change this in Preferences - Lightroom Sync. You can move an already downloaded image to another folder just like you can move any other image to another folder: by using drag and drop.

Thanks for the Reply.

 

I have altered the Setting in Preferences and am now able to Put them into a Network Location from where I can then Import them as usual.

 

This will make getting Photos from my Phone into Lightroom so much easier, I previously relied on OneDrive and that recently messed up all of my Files, hence looking at Mobile Lightroom.
