Question

One minute to move between pictures in Develop

Hey folks!
Do you have any idea as to what happened to Lightroom Classic.
I used it today after a couple of months and, of course, I updated to the latest version.

As soon as I open a picture, the memory usage spikes to 10Gb and it freezes even after the simplest edit.
It can take even one minute to move between pictures while in development mode.

So far I tried to:
Update the graphic card drivers
Set the GPU usage on Lightroom settings to Auto
Cleared the cache on Lightroom

Even created a brand new catalog and uploaded like 10 pictures (RAW).

As it is right now there's no way I can use it for work. And I can confirm that this never occurred to me in the past so I would think that the latest update messed things up.

I read online and it seems I'm not the online one with this issue.

Is Adobe doing something about this?

My Lightroom Classic 13.5 is so slow now it's unusable 😞  What's going on?!

System Specs:

Threadripper Pro 3975wx
256GB RAM

Nvidia RTX A6000
C: is 1TB nvme M.2 - Windows and Software
P: is 1TB nvme M.2 - Project Files, ie Ligthroom Catalogue

V: is 1TB nvme M.2 - For media files, including RAW Photos
X: is 1TB nvme M.2 - For my Cache Files, include the Lightroom Cache

The entire Adobe Creative Cloud is hanging in tatters.  Problems with every single piece of software.  I reinstalled the OS and all the apps a short while ago, in case it was my system.  No change.  None of the Adobe Software is reliable to run a business with.

Simon.Is it STILL broken?

Do you have Cloud Sync enabled? If yes, then Pause it (cloud at top right corner of LrC UI) to check whether it helps

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.
