Open catalogue on another computer

Question

I have Lightroom Classic installed on a PC. I have created several calaogues of which I;m happy with. My wife wants to look at my images on an Apple Mac Book.

I have installed Lightroom Classic on the Mac Book, I have shared the folder conataing the Catlogue on the PC, I can browse to the folder conating the catalogue from the Lightromm application on the Mac Book but I can't seem to find a way of opening the catalogue.

Has anyone any suggestions as to where I might be going wrong?

... but I can't seem to find a way of opening the catalogue. You double-click on the catalog file. Most likely, when it opens, all photos will be shown as missing. This happens when you move from PC to Mac but is easily fixed, following these instructions (see Figure 4 and associated text)
