open edited jpg file in adobe photoshop 2023 from lightroom classic 12.3 not working

This started happening today.  It was working earlier today.  I didn't update or change any settings in lightroom between when it worked and when it didn't.

When I right click an jpeg I have made adjustments to in lighroom and select open in photoshop 2023, if I select edit a copy with lightoom adjustments, nothing happens.  It doesn't open in photoshop.  If I select the same image and select edit original, it opens immediately, but of course without any of my lightroom adjustment.  If I right click a raw file and select open in Photoshop 2023, nothing happens at all.  The pop up where I am able to choose original or edited doesn't even appear.  Restarting Lightroom and photoshop does not correct the problem.   Optimizing catalog does not correct the problem.  I am using a StudioMac OS 12.6.3.  Lightroom Classic 12.3 Camera Raw 15.3,  Photoshop 2023 24.5.0.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
