Correct answer john beardsworth

Definitely get the drivers up to date.

I don't believe there's a problem with Radeon HD cards, and FWIW, I'm using a XFX AMD Radeon R9 280 with 3Gb. You're going to need a recent generation card with at least 2Gb of memory such as the AMD R9 2xx series or nvidia’s Geforce 700 or 900.

Must be all the Radeon HD cards having the problem.  My drivers are up to date.

Graphics Processor Info:

Check OpenGL support: Failed

Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.

Version: 3.3.13283 Core Profile Context 14.501.1003.0

Renderer: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series

The above is from my desktop system.  Ironically, the installation on my less robust laptop passed the graphic acceleration test and was using it's Intel graphics processor by default.  Unfortunately it was also taking 4 to 5 seconds to generate image preview, so I disabled it via the checkbox.  Now it's generating previews at the speed it did with LR5.

Same problem on a Radeon 6970.

I started another post before I read this one.

Here is my LR-CC report:

Graphics Processor Info:

GeForce GT 750M/PCIe/SSE2

Check OpenGL support: Passed

Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation

Version: 3.3.0 NVIDIA 350.12

Renderer: GeForce GT 750M/PCIe/SSE2

LanguageVersion: 3.30 NVIDIA via Cg compiler

That is OK.

But the performance is a slow down, ie seconds of lag using the brush.

Hop this gets fixed soon!
