Opening photo from LR to PS changes the look, why?

I've always done the basic editing in LR and then opened it from LR to PS for more drastic changes (Closestamping etc). However I found that this now changes the look of the photo all of a sudden. The blackpoint drops and it gets more saturated. This has never happened before and cant find any info about it.

Does anyone have had the same experience?

    Two possible causes:

    1. Camera Raw (ACR) versions in LR and PS don't match.
In LR go to Help > About to verify the version, in PS go to Help > About plugins > Camera Raw.
If PS has the older version, you need to update the ACR plugin, if LR has the older version, you need to update LR itself - ACR is hard coded into the program.
    2. You have a defective monitor profile.
Try setting the monitor profile to sRBG (use Adobe RGB if you have a wide gamut monitor).
If this fixes the issue, you should ideally calibrate your monitor with a hardware calibrator, which will create a new monitor profile that accurately describes your monitor.
