Opening V12 catalog in V13 taking hours?

I'm trying to open an old catalog (V12) (from just before christmas) in V13. I got a popup saying "Lightroom - Opening: xxxx" and it has been like that for nearly 2 hours now.

Should I wait?

The catalog is 1,342, 920KB

It is using 16-20% CPU and around 50MB RAM

It is continuously creating and deleting 2 files: xxxx..lrcat-SHM and xxxx.lrcat-WAL

the PC has a Ryzen 5 5600H CPU and 16Gb RAM ( and a 2Tb

Ok, perhaps a dumb question, but I just have to ask as opposed to assuming.

You did click on the Ok button, correct?

That is clearly not normal. Lightroom Classic should say almost immediately that this is an older version catalog that needs to be upgraded, not try to open it for such a long time.
