Organizing images in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC

I'm trying to organize my images in Lightroom Classic CC to create a slideshow.. when I try to move an image I get this error message:

"The Currently selected source does not support custom order"

Is there a way I can organize my images?

Have you created a collection of images or are you moving them in a folder?

Are you in the collection folder in the library module or in the slide show module? What is your sort criteria set to?
