Original photos are available however however edits/exporting them does not work. Please help!!

So when I'm looking at my library the icon for original photo is showing however as soon as I try to edit them or export them it says originals are missing!

"the icon for original photo is showing"- Do you mean you see the photo preview or something else?

Is there a [!] badge on the grey border of photo previews in the Library Grid?
