Overheating/Fans with LR Classic

Loud fans kick on when using LR Classic. (Operating 2019 2TB iMac with UTD MacOS / Ventura. Fans run til shut down LR. Saw this years ago but never experienced til now. Looking for a remedy.

Check your computer's cooling system, make sure all fans and other cooling devices are running properly. Vaccuum out the case (if possible) and vaccuum the air vents on the computer case, and make sure the vents are not blocked by furniture or wall.

Thank you. Good advice. Not sure why, but seems resolved once turned off the graphics processor and restarted.

Graphics processors can generate a lot of heat, sometimes more than CPUs. I suggest you do some quick experiments with different operations in LR (editing in Develop, scrolling Library grid view, exporting) with and without the GPU enabled.  If you find LR zippier with it enabled, then follow up on dj_paige's suggestion.  Many Intel Mac models in past years are susceptible to overheating due to clogged fans.
