P: Colored "pixel" artifacts/subdued blacks in shadow areas (older Macs) (also visible on CR)

I updated LrC to 12.4 yesyerday. Since then a number of pixels in multiple colors appear appear quite often on the image, mostly in the areas of blacks/darks and when using Tone Curve commands. It's similar to the red/blue pixels which denoted clipping in the areas of blacks/whites, but they appear in very many different other colors. Sometimes they disappear, or decrease, after actioning the commands again, sometimes they do not. Is anybody else facing the same problem which I encounter now for the vey first time after many years of use of LrC? Thank you in advance for your advise.

My problem with splotchy areas in the dark shadows has been resolved. I was at LR Classic 13.0.1 which I uninstalled. I then installed version 12.5. I also turned off auto update in the CC App. Looks like the most recent version was released out into the wild world of working professionals with some bugs!

I solved the problem quickly, but not definitively, by exiting and re-entering Lightroom, or by activating HDR in the basic menu,
near the automatic and B&W buttons.

I can't view your screen capture ... you should include screen capture by using the "Insert Photos" icon and not via file attachments.

Probably this problem: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-artifacts-resembling-clipping-warnings-odd-bright-colored-pixels-in-shadow-areas-older-macs/idi-p/13865745

In this thread, it is stated: "This appears to occur on Lightroom 12.4 and later on very old Macs ( 8 Years and older) due to out-of-date video drivers on no longer-supported/updated GPUs. Some customers report that disabling GPU restores functionality to normal.  Others have reported that updating to Sonoma has provided relief. "

When typing accented characters in Lightroom Classic (MacOS Apple Silicon, latest version) the program crashes.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s?  Apple’s?

Couldn't send any report because Lightroom Classic automatically stopped. No crash dialogue from Adobe or Apple.
I can replicate the error easily, just typing, i.e, ò or à.
BTW, I'm using Sonoma 14.1.1

@toto19, like the others, you're on an older Mac with a graphics processor whose drivers are no longer supported by AMD.  See here for two possible workarounds:
