P: Track Galleries created in the Web module are displaying partial number of images

LRC 12.1 Web module is displaying only a limited number of images in galleries shown on mobile devices.


The issue ONLY appears on mobile devices such as phones, independent of their OS.
The issue is occuring ONLY when using/showing track galleries.
The problem ONLY appears when the the row-height  in "General appearance" is set >135

 

Apparently, this is a problem of the javascrip Lightroom uses to generate the web gallery.

 

STEP 1: Apply te module Web to create a wen gallery on a colllection with a large number of images (40 +)

STEP 2: Coose Trach GalleriesSTEP 3: Set row height >136
STEP 4; Uplod web gallery to a server

STEP 5: Display on telephone (!) or use the device viewer in Chrome/console.

Hope the gets fixed, mainly because Track Galleries displays the best setting in desktop/browser mode.

I use LRC to upload images to my website via the Web module, and have opted for "track Galleries".

There is a problem when exporting that exists since several years.

 

The number of thumbnails shown on depends on the viewport width of the users device,  and and thumbnail row-height I have choosen. To give an examamle, with a row height set to 200px, an iPhone SE (viewport width: 375px) wiil only show the first 25 thumbnails, an iPhone XR (viewport 475px) will show the first 32 thumbnails. No more images will be loaded when in thumbnail mode, preventing the user from being able to choose from the full number of images.

 

The problem does not exist on a large screen (e.g. a desktop PC or a tablet). I also can circumvent the issue if I set the thumbnail to the row-height to <135px. This looks pretty bad on a large screen,, but is the only cludge I have found to work.


The problem comes from the the main.js calculation of "availableWidth", however I can not untangle the code that was used. Adobe has not fixed the issue since the first introduction of track galleries in LR.

This was reported years ago and is another of the many bugs ignored by Adobe.

It happen with Track, Grid and Square.  The only one that works correctly on mobile is Classic.  Strangely, if you go to the loupe view and select the LAST photo then the grid will populate eventually.  I reported this issue a LONG time ago and it was acknowledged but beings the Web Module in LrC is essentially an abandonware module there is probably zero chance of this being fixed.
