Parent folder doesn't recognize subfolders

Yesterday, my folders were all normal.  I inserted a memory card to upload new photos and walked away.  I believe I chose the option "copy".

Then this morning the main folders do not recognize the subfolders with their photos.  The folder "Photos" should show a number of 45,000+ photos.  

 Please tell me what is wrong
