Performance in the tank on some tasks
I have a Macbook Pro (M1 Max with 64Gb) with Sonoma 14.6.1 and Lightroom Classic 13.5. The performance of certain tasks indicates there is a substantial problem. For example, hitting Auto in the develop module can take up to 10 seconds to produce a result. Simialarly, doing a cmd-Z or updating the history in the develop module take a long time (many seconds) to complete. But changing between the Library and Develop module and changing the sliders on the develop module produce immediate results.
One other thing, looking at the Activity Monitor, I see Lightroom using between 100-360% (not less that 100%) of the CPU when I am doing nothing at all. It is just sitting there in the Library module.
Has anyone seen someting like this? Suggestions?
