Hello,

moving from imac to MBP, I missed my import convinience, that LRC renamed the files and sortet them automaticall under my given folder structure eg. 2024 for year 04 for month and 26 for day.

I know that i have to create an import-preset including remanimg and targeting.

I struggle with Target, LRC wónt fill in the photos automatically into the related day´s folder as it do on my old maschine.

Question: How do I have to creat the import-preset. Any help is appreciatet. Regards Frank

Look at the Destination tab in the import dialog. Right now it will say "Into one folder". Change it to dated folders and choose the structure you want.

Many thanks to dj_paige and Johan W. Elzenga. I used now these settings from the right sides menues:

Dateiumbenennung (Renaming)

  • Dateien umbenennen: Ja
  • Vorlage Benutzerdefiniert „Datum_Stunde-Minute-Sekunde“

Rechts Ziel (Target)

  • In Unterordner: NEIN
  • Ordnen: Nach Datum
  • Datumsformat: 2024/04/27

And yes, this setting are stored automatically, even without a preset. I´m back and running, again many thanks for your help.

Enjoy life and take care

Frank

You don't need a preset. The option you want that will create folders by capture date is in the Import dialog box. This option is on the right under Destination.
