Photo merge error unable to merge photos. Failed to import the final merged result

I recently went from using Lightroom Classic on a PC to using on a MAC. I had no issues with the PC. On the MAC with the same library I get "Photo merge error unable to merge photos. Failed to import the final merged result". The message pops up everytime I try to merge any photos. All my photos are RAW. Please help.

    Are these photos stored on an external drive? And is that drive perhaps formatted in NTFS because you used it on the PC? MacOS can read NTFS, so Lightroom on the Mac can read the raw files, but MacOS cannot write to NTFS drives, so Lightroom would fail trying to write the merged panorama to this drive.
