Photo Merge HDR results in image with Flag set as Rejected

On both a laptop and a workstation, both with LrC v 14.3.1, Windows 11, using images from a Fujifilm X-T5 (RAF). The resultant merge presents an image that is automatically flagged as rejected. I have reset the Preferences file.

What may I have set incorrectly?

Two items/info to add.

It appears this behavior is not consistent. The last Merge I accomplished did not result in this behavior.
An Import (ADD) of old DNG images (converted from RAF) resulted in all the imports being flagged as rejected. It appears to be an odd metadata issue??? Note post import, I inspected my import settings and found no preset or other setting that would result in reject flags.

I have tried to replicate this over and over, but I haven't been able to.

If it is a bug, there must be some other detail that is missing in order to reproduce.

I have been unable to replicate this with Mac or Windows with Pano, HDR or HDR/Pano.

This happens every time I HDR merge CR3 files. Every time, and for a long time.

I saw that a couple times two days ago in my LR 14.4 and thought I had accidentally typed "x", but I thought it strange I had done it multiple times. Of course it's not happening to me now.

Perhaps post a screen recording of the entire LR window showing it occurring. That might help identify details of how to reproduce it

I tried setting up the same configuration and doing the exact clicks with the sample photos, and of course it no longer happens for me.

Known Participant

Lightroom Classsic v. 14.4 in Win. 11, all up to date. Panoramas are created without difficulty but the finished articles are marked as 'rejected'. Doesn't matter what projection is selected and whether auto-fill or other refinements are applied. Easy enough to un-reject them but this is silly and obviously a bug. Please correct!

Sameer, with greatest respect and with thanks for your input, the likelihood that locally corrupted settings are responsible for this bug is as near zero as makes no difference. Even if such a corruption arose at random, that argues for a weakness in the program - and if it comes right for a while following the lengthy and laborious 'fix' you suggest there's no guarantee that it won't recur. Frankly, its a lot less trouble to live with the bug than to follow through the - perhaps! - 'remedy'. I'd be grateful therefore if you would raise this as a bug report, to be addressed in some future update - I hope!
