Photos missing on import

I've been using LR Classic subscription for years.  All of a sudden, I try to import photos from my SD card and it says they're missing!  I don't understand, and I don't know how to fix this.

How far into the Import process does this happen?

 

What is the exact word for word error message?

 

Show us a screen capture of what you see when this happens (use the "Insert Photos" button to include your screen capture in your reply).

 

Also please state clearly the version NUMBER of your Lightroom Classic.
