Question

Photos not rendering properly

Is anyone able to explain what's suddenly happening to some of my photos in Lightroom Classic - see attached image. When working in the Develop module one photo suddenly goes wonky like this - I now have one image looking like this in several folders in my catalog. The offending images appear like this in both the Library and the Develop modules. The images export perfectly but it's pretty hard to edit them. I have tried quitting and re-opening Lightroom but that didn't solve the issue. Lightroom Classic version 14.1.1 on a Mac M1.

Cheers,

Graeme

@32687570 Flor's pinned explanation in the linked post refers to AMD GPUs. The OP has an M1 Mac so that would not be applicable.

It seems that is the known problem as described here:

P: (GPU) Develop/Edit view & Export artifacts afte... - Adobe Community - 14563606

Possible solution:

Try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Check also that your system is up-to-date, especially the graphic device driver.

Thank you. Turning off the graphics processor didn't make any difference so I'll work through the other suggestions in the link you supplied to see if I can get it working again
