Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in does not open when I edit a raw from Lightroom

When I try to edit a RAW file in Lightroom using Photoshop, CR2 or DNG, it opens directly in Photoshop and not in Camera Raw Plug-in. Any help will be appreciate.

Lightroom Classic CC / Photoshop CC / Camera Raw (last versions)

That is the way it is designed to work.  Lightroom Develop Module IS Adobe Camera Raw.  The best way to edit in camera raw is to use the develop module.  If you really need to use Adobe Camera Raw plugin in Photoshop, select Open in Photoshop as Smart Object.  Once in Photoshop, double click on the layer thumbnail to open in Camera Raw.

You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.

If the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.

This thread will be locked.

    Thank you!
