Pictures not saved on local machine in tethered capture mode

I've connected my Canon EOS 6D Mark II to Lightroom Classic via Tethered Capture mode. Everything seems to be working fine i.e. I see view from my camera in Lightroom GUI, trigger is responsive, I can take a picture with GUI trigger etc. The only issue is that pictures are neither saved in specified local folder nor in collection. They are only saved in the Camera's SD card. The same functionality works in EOS Utility software then something must be wrong with Lightroom Classic itself. Would you be able to help please?

Hello,
Since the hardware works with EOS Utility, the most likely culprit is a permissions or destination conflict within Lightroom. First, ensure that EOS Utility is completely closed (including in your system tray/menu bar), as it can hijack the connection and prevent Lightroom from receiving the files. Next, check your Tether Settings in Lightroom to ensure the "Destination" folder has Full Disk Access or write permissions; if Lightroom can't write to that specific folder, it often defaults to leaving the file on the camera. Lastly, try using a different USB port or cable, as Lightroom is significantly more sensitive to signal drops than the native Canon software.
