Pinwheel of death on new 2023 M3 Macbook Pro Lightroom 13.4

Just upgraded my laptop to a 2023 M3 Macbook Pro. Migrated over from my 2017 Macbook Pro and running into pinwheel issues far too often when working in Lightroom that I wasn't with my older machine. I've optimized the catalog and updated Lightroom to current version which is currently 13.4. Anyone have any ideas about how I can fix these pinwheel issues when editing? Doesn't always happen but when it does can last up to 10 seconds. Really slowing down the editing process. Any advice would be much appreciated!

This issue occurs sometimes, not all the time?
And sometimes LrC works just fine?
Do you ever receive an error message? What is it?
Where is your catalog located? What hard drive? Or is it elsewhere?
The hard drive your catalog is on (an assumption), how much free space in percent, looking for at least 20%, some say 25%
What is your MACOS version?
