This was an idea that I was editing, but in the middle of my edits, it got moved here from "Ideas" to "Discussions" (?) [part of my suggestion was answered with a solution, but there was still one suggestion left]

Please delete this post (I'd do it myself, but I can't find out how), thanks.

Option-O cycles the mode for me on Mac.  Its probably Alt-O on Windows.

Thanks Bob, you are completely right. The odd thing is that I was pretty sure there was a shortcut, and I tried (or so I thought) all the possible key combinations, to no avail.

Still, since there are 6 different overlays, I'd like to be able to select which ones I want to cycle through. I will modify my original post to preserve just that bit, and I will remove the rest.

Thanks again!
