Please don’t kill the map feature in Lightroom Classic

I use the map feature to easily use my geotagged media (still and moving) as breadcrumbs in making map tracks for publications, It is very convenient to use Lightroom classic as a single repository for trip documentation and deducing where historic non-georeferenced photos were taken. I add geotags to photos pre-gps by comparing other photos that are in my collection add figuring out where it might be based on visual clues and other photos in the sample area shown on Lightroom’s map. I’d be devastated if Lightroom classic maps was dropped.
