I uploaded presets to Lightroom and I can't copy the settings. I reached out to the creator or the presets and was told this is a common Lightroom issue. Advice?

What do you mean by "I can't copy the settings"?

Presets are files with an .XMP file-type. (Prior to Classic v7.2 they were .LRTEMPLATE files)

They can be copied. (to copy to another computer, or to make a backup.)

In the Develop module there are several ways to 'Copy' a preset adjustments from one image to another.

You have- Copy&Paste, a [Previous] button, The [SYnc] and [Auto-Sync] options.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

I am facing the same problem too!

1) I applied a preset to the 1st photo

2) I manually did some color adjustments (exposure, contrast etc.)

3) Copy settings. I ticked "check all"

4) Paste settings to 2nd photo, but only the color adjustments were pasted. The preset doesn't pasted along.

Therefore, I have to apply preset ONE BY ONE to each photo before Paste Settings.
Anyone please help!!!
