7.5 and 8.1  Are these on two separate computers?

Why not upgrade to 8.1 on both?

Some Presets in 7.5 may only work with raw files. With JPG, TIFF, these presets are not visible in the panel, so can you be more specific than "RAW and all other files"

cant import the XMP

-  why not? any error messages? where did the XMP files come from? How are you "importing" from the preset panel or in a file browser?

Are you copying the XMPs from one computer to another?

Sorry for all the questions, but needed for a better understanding of your system.

And copy&paste the top 10 lines from the Lr MENU > Help > System Info... would be helpful.

The presets are not working on any files. JPG, RAW, PNG... are not working.

Im importing the XMP files throug the "Preset" tab on the left by left clicking on a folder and selecting "import."

When I import the XMP file it says "Wait for the import to complete." and the notification stays for ever does not go away.

Here is the System info.I hope you can read it, because its in german.

First I might suggest you update to Classic v8.1

Your computer system specs look good-ok.

Where are these XMP files from?  Are they 'Purchased' or are they yours? Where are they in you computer folders now?

I am still confused when you say you have v7.5 and v8.1 -two computers?

XMP files can be Develop Presets, Brush Presets, Profiles, and they will all import to different folder locations.

If they are Develop Presets, have you tried copying them to the {Settings} folder using File Explorer?

You say "they are not working"- does this mean they have installed by the Import and are visible in the Develop Preset panel?

In v8.1 clicking on a 'folder' does not give the Import menu, instead I have to click on the Preset panel header [ + ] sign, to get to Import. So each recent update is changing how the Preset system works.

The "Wait for the import to complete." is unusual- it may mean that Lr is having difficulty writing to the {Settings} folder { C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings } Have you checked that you have full Read/write permissions in the folder?

I admit the changes to the Develop Preset system have caused some problems, but most can be fixed. And it may take other experts to get a 'handle' on your system to diagnose your problems.
