Preview cache size limitation

When preview cache size limitation , dialog is pop-uped on lightroom and stay until close with push "x"

I find this behavior strange.
Even though I want to limit the preview cache size and have the option turned on, the only suggestions given are to increase the size,

dialog continues to interfere with the user's work.
Even if the suggestion warns me when the preview limit is reached, I would like it to fade after a certain period of time and steadily delete

preview caches to stay within the limit.

I see that yellow box message too. It doesn’t make sense for it to appear more than once after the limit has been set, because I set the limit for a reason: I don’t want previews to use more of the limited space on my laptop internal storage where the catalog is stored. So of course I don’t want to increase the limit. But the message keeps appearing.

Hopefully Adobe will eventually understand that, and stop showing the message repeatedly after the first one or two times it’s dismissed by the user.

I think that’s how it does work. The help article for the feature says:

quote

Once the user sets the preview cache size, Lightroom will continue to delete older previews (with a warning/info first and an option to increase the size) to satisfy the desired limit.

With one exception: The help article for the feature also says:

quote

Previews that are 30 days or newer are never deleted.

I think that is why the size of my preview cache is somewhat above the limit I set.
