Preview file growth

When I delete at bunch of photos, my preview file increases in size ??

I was expecting it to get a bit lower.

Hey, @olefoto. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll help you figure this out. 

Do you create smart previews? 

 

You can reduce the Standard preview sizes of Lightroom renders by going to Lightroom Classic > Catalog Settings > Previews > Change Standard Preview Size & Quality. 

You can also choose to discard smart previews in the Library or Develop module by clicking Library > Previews > Discard Smart Previews.

@Sameer K We are talking normal standard Preview. The preview file(s) are bigger after deleting some files and re-running "Building standard preview."
