I have been using LR for many years now and since the new update, it does not seem to recognise my 60D files when I want to import.

It also uploads all the photos even though the second box down on the right is ticked.
It puts all the photos in the same folder as well which are sorted by date.

Is this a known issue or fixable???

Also you have All Photos selected at the top of the import window. Select New Photos instead of All Photos.

That will show only the photos that aren't already in the LR catalog file.

I suggest that once you get the images off the card and you make sure they are copied to your computers hard drive that you Format the card in the Camera before you take any more shots.

Are you connecting the camera directly to the computer or using a Card Reader?

If directly connecting the camera then try a card reader.

Or use the File Manager for OS X, Finder, to Copy the images off the camera to a folder you want to store them permenently in then try importing into LR.

It seems the new version of LR, and or OS X, has a problem seeing, reading, the images properly when the camera is connected directly to the computer.

Thank you for your help.

I have used both my card reader and plugging the SD card into the built in the computer.

I will try changing the import options at the top as suggested.

My usual workflow usually includes formatting the card in the camera, but only after I have done my backups andI am currently on holiday and don’t have my back up drives with me. This camera only usually gets used a few times a year.
